Comings and Goings

Addi decided Saturday that she needed to shishi (that's pee pee in Hawaiian terms) in the toilet. She came in the bathroom, said "Pah poo," (which means either i am about to or just just did pee/poo, I need a new diaper, or I tooted) and then proceeded to pull off her diaper. She climbed right on up and tinkled. Pure glee ... that would describe the moment. She was giggling like ... well, like a girl peeing on the toilet for the first time. She even flushed and washed her hands afterwards.

Oh, and did I mention that she threw the entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet ... yah, she did that too.

Gwen just chillin at the potluck.

Last Friday we had a potluck and bowling fiasco with the Lees and Reynolds. The food was yummy, the kids were hilarious, and the bowling was awesome - we were the only people there! Seriously - we even got Addi and Drew their own lane.

Lately Addi has been hanging out with her little buddy Eden. She lives in the house in front of us. Eden has the coolest swimming pool ever ... a 5 gallon plastic tub. You don't have to blow it up or deflate it, you don't have to share it, and it takes minimal time to fill (and refill when Addi dumps it out). They're both addicted to it. Addi will hear Eden outside playing and she'll start saying, "Wa wa, wa wa" and run to the door. Today she even went so far as to bring me her swim suit, just in case I wasn't understanding the whole "wa wa" thing. And she started putting sunscreen all over her little white body ... and of course ate a little too.

I think Eden's diaper is holding the contents of the entire "pool".

Yesterday Addi was playing with Gwen while I was getting some housework done. It's nice that I can pretty much trust her (Addi) not to break her (Gwen). She's really good at being gentle, loves holding Gwen and adorning her with blankets and ... well, CareBears. I glanced over from my dish washing and saw this.

Now if that's not love ....

Oh I'm glad you got a good bowling picture. None of mine turned out good. I love the picture of Gwen with all the care bares. Good job Addi for going in the potty! She's not even two yet! That's awesome!

Aww, that last pic is too cute. What a good sister. I bet Gwen had just finished saying to herself, "Man, if only I had some Care Bears to keep me company!"
