a belated father's day

Happy Father's Day to the two fathers in my life:

Casey is my best friend. (He is also Addi's best friend.) I love him so much and I'm so grateful that he is the father of our children. He's always teaching Add new things, like how to properly change fish tank filters, the difference between socket, crescent, monkey, and other wrenches, how to vacuum, which foot her slippers should go on, the difference between a nose and toes (so confusing to a toddler, well, at least to our toddler) .... he is the one that turns all our greys to sunshine. He is so understanding and forgiving and patient and supportive.

I love watching him play with Gwen. He's so good at getting her to smile and coo and laugh. He always says, "I married one girl and now I have three ... how'd that happen?"

Casey works hard to provide for our family, and I am so grateful to him for that. I have no idea how exhausting it must be to drive to Town and back everyday, and to come home to a messy house and frazzled wife half the time. I went with him on a trouble call a couple Saturdays ago and the tenants of the building were cursing him (and the elevator) and just being down-right rude. He was so polite and genuinely concerned for their welfare, and trying his bestest to get the problem fixed quickly. Thanks Case for putting up with that so that I can stay home with our Little Women.

Happy Father's Day to you Case. You done good.

Aww, that's really sweet. What a good guy. He seems like he doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

i bet Casey loved this post! He is a great guy. You can tell by the way he chases after other kids as well as his own. I hope you had a happy father's day Casey!
