Long post of randomness ...

It was just after midnight on Monday (Monday night that is, not crazy early in the morning Monday). We were awake because Addi was awake. Addi was awake because she was running a fever just shy of 103 and was puking her pistachios from dinnertime. After some Motrin and getting cleaned up, she curled up in Case's arms and fell asleep while I tended to Gwen, who had also decided to join the midnight madness.

Tuesday night around 8:30 she woke up again, still a fever, still just shy of 103, but now also constipated because of her minimal fluid intake (and maximal cheese, cooked carrot, milk, and banana consumption as of late - papaya anyone?) After two hours of trying to help her poo poo, which consisted of holding her knees to her chest whenever she would "bear down" (think labor and delivery) I called the Doc. The Doc said enema .... Poor Addi. I swear she had to have lost 5 lbs. in 5 minutes that night.

She's still sick and we're planning a Doctor's visit tomorrow. Her fever is still just shy of 103 (hovering around 102.6 to be exact). Admittedly though I've enjoyed it a bit. Addi is energy personified. But this week she will actually sit in my lap and read a book with me, cuddle with me, ask me to hold her, ask to go night-night, and generally just be mellow. It's kinda nice.

These are some old pics I forgot to post from Father's Day. Yah, I know - kind of late ... oh well.

Explanation: we went on a date the night before Pop's Day and ate at Bubba Gumps. I was in awe of the waitress' amazing glass-stacking talent. After watching probably half-a-dozen gravity-defying table clearings, I pointed out the art to Case. I was sure he would be equally amazed. But instead, he started stacking the glasses on our table.

Who knew?? (obviously not me - see the slit in the glass made just for stacking...)

I had shirts made for us girls as a surprise for Case. They (cafepress.com) didn't have onesies small enough for Gwen, so I just got out the ol' sharpie kit and went to town.

And these are the new glasses I'm getting. As a disclaimer, I didn't realize Chanel was some major brand. When I was showing this picture to our friends Jordan and Rachele I said, "They're channel brand ..." (like TV channel)

and they laughed.

It kind of make me like them less (the glasses that is - not the Larsens) that they're a bling-bling brand, and that the brand name is right along the side. But at the same time, I really like them. And NOT getting them because they're a brand-name would almost be as silly as getting them because they're a brand name. At least that's how it works in my brain. So I'm getting them. Thank goodness for amazing eye insurance.

Today we dropped Ellie (the Element) off at an autobody shop in Kaneohe. She should be back to her old self in two weeks or so - it seems she's not totalled. That's kind of good, as long as the repairs are thorough so we don't lose resale value.

Our rental car is a Dodge Grand Caravan and so far I love it (uh oh). I've never really coined myself as a minivan person, but this is so ... so ... so not minvanish. It looks beefier, feels less i'm-a-mother-of-four-and-have-hair-from-the-80s, and the key ... it's not even a key, it's a plastic stick thing, like the plastic part of the ringpop that is in the pop. I'll just have to post a pic of it later, because I'm sure you're on your tippy-toes in suspense about our rental car key.

Yep, good ole' CHHS! Gotta love the world wide web! And yes I do have a recording of one of your songs! It is tucked away in my memory box along with the lyrics. LOVE the shirts you made your hubby for Father's Day. Oh and I love the mall in Kaneohe! They used to have a rad scrapbook store there too!

I love the blog's make over. I have to get the guts to change mine. Love the glasses too even if they are channel! HAHAHA! You and your van can come visit me anytime. Heck bring the kids along too! We hope Addi and Ellie feel better. Love the shirts too. I'm going to need to get some made. With different wording because that would just be weird. I love you casey!
