i kind of get a kick out of grammar: punctuation, spelling, alliterations, the proper use of a semicolon, which effect/affect to use, prepositional phrases etc. etc. etc. it's like a delicate dance, the english language. i really do revel in it at times. i love watching words flow from brain to fingers to page, forming thoughts and ideas that someone else can absorb through their eyes into their brain. it's a way to get part our insides in the outside. (uh oh ... don't go critiquing my grammer, spelling, punctuation now. liking it and being good at it ... 2 totally different things, you know)
that said, i've had a few run-ins lately with bad english. hawaii is heavily influenced by other cultures and for many residents, Enlighs is a second language. as an example, you can get some sweet finds at the dollar store with asian-to-english translations ... rough translations. so please, enjoy the little spiel from our bday-party confetti poppers:

I am glad that you found my blog! I don't know what kind of said animal finger puppet that I made either, it is just a creature, and my favorite one also.

I hope you don't look to closely at my english/punctuation/Grammar. I'm terrible with all that little stuff. (i guess it's not little, it's pretty important isn't it?)
When I worked for a Scrapbooking company we had to translate everything into French for the packaging. None of us spoke french though. I can imagine that all the francophone's felt the same way! There is probably a blog about it somewhere.. In french.
