Happy Birthday Melissa!!
Melissa C. was born this day a few years ago. I'm glad she was born because she's been a wonderful friend, made me a fabulous baby sling, taught me how to be a better mother through her example, introduced me to Regina Spektor, and because she has super fly red jellies from Ross. And she ran a 5k too. And makes cool stuff and sells it on her etsy shop.

my bum is in that picture too. YIKES!! i don't like seeing my bum--it scares me ;).
also-- this doesn't matter that much but, just because i want every tiny little mile to count I will say this: it was NOT a 5k, which is only three miles it was 8.1 miles. which doesn't really have a technical name (like 5k), it was just the great aloha run.

i would definately fight for the additional 3.1 miles
haha!! actually a 5k is three miles, and the GAR is 8.1 miles so that is a difference of 5 miles.
but whose counting? (clearly i am):)
