CAKE and I were introduced to each other by a mutual friend my junior year of High school. The first song: Stickshifts and Safetybelts. I auditioned for Disneyland with that song. They just stared at me, blank-eyed. (I obviously didn't really care to much about getting in, I guess.) Though I've only gone to one concert, don't yet own a Tshirt, and have only actually purchased one of their CDs (Comfort Eagle - that's just me being cheap) CAKE is my favorite. I hadn't heard their delectable sound for quite some time until last night when I youtubed the below video.
Now aren't you just THAT MUCH HAPPIER for having listened to CAKE ?

Sheep go to heaven...
what a great band. Just to (under)age myself, i was in grade eight the first time i heard cake.
Gotta love Cake! I love that you can listen to their whole album. You only skip the REALLY bad songs;)
we like cake-- but i must say that when i fist read this post i immediately thought of the delicious sugary treat and thought, "her parents didnt let her eat cake until she is that old???" and now i am just hungry. :)
Oh Man!! I am pretty in love with Cake! I love the stick shift song, I was actually thinking about putting that on my playlist. One of my favorite cake lines is, "She has a serrated edge, that she moves back and forth. It's such a simple machine, she doesn't have to use force. When she gets what she wants she puts the rest on a tray, in a ziplock bag... in the freezer." Anyway, this made my day. I haven't listened to some good cake in a long time. I love that they play real music.
oh! i love them too! i have a bunch of there CDs/ virtuely everything else on y itunes if you'd ever want to burn/pull from there! go CAKE!
