FAT 2 FIT

folks, this is serious. case and i (mostly i, case is just here for the moral support) are big. not tom hanks jumping around on a huge keyboard big, but kirstie alley meets little debbie big. the thing is, we're not "big" type of people. we like to do, to live, to be active: hiking, snorkeling, afternoon walks, playing tennis, rock climbing, etc. we really don't know exactly how this happened ... well, three pregnancies in three years didn't help me, but i can't blame it on that. there are fine example of fit moms around me (noelle, matti, shanae, melissa, dori, steph, taylor ...)

so here we go again. p90x didn't go so well after a plethora of major life stressors occurred in late june. i discovered i use food as comfort (never knew that before) as my level of cereal consumption skyrocketed (note to self: don't buy high-fiber cereals when stressed. whoa.) this time around we're not doing th p90x diet, because i want free weekends and ... well, basically cause i want free weekends. oh, and i want my fruit. one piece of fruit a day just wasn't doing it for me.

you can help.

anytime you see us, at Foodland, at the Beach, at your Mom's house, wherever ... ask.

examples: "hey stef, had coldstone lately?", "wow jorgensens, y'all are lookin' mighty svelt these days.", "you still working out?", "is that water your drinkin? hope so.", "hey, nice cookie. isn't it tuesday?" (because no cookies m-f... so at this point you could steal the cookie. 'just take the [curse word] cookie!' ... anyone ... anyone .... 'Mickey Blue Eyes' folks. when he's proposing in the chinese restaurant ... nevermind.)

if kirstie can do it, so can i (we). cheers. and yes, i know that she got fat again. let's just act like she didn't for now ... thanks.

Hahaha! I knew it was Mikey Blue! One of my favorite movies. I just want to say I love you Steff and I'm not sure I'm going to be the biggest help. You know me. I'm too chicken, but I will TRY! Promise. Let's just hope when we're together I won't have to remind you. Good Luck! :)

You're funny. Poor Kirstie Alley. I saw that she gained it back. What a shame. Losing weight is so hard and frustrating. I know you guys can do it. Good luck! I've struggled with my weight since I was about 16, and its a life-long battle. I wish you the best!

YOU ARE HILARIOUS!! You just say out loud (or... I mean write... whatever) what we all think of about ourselves, but are too scared to put it out there.

You rock my world.

ahhh, thanks for brightening my day with such good humor. i know many a dieter who have had success with weight watchers---including my half samoan sister in laws. i think the key is to feel like you're not depriving yourself, so free weekends sounds like a good idea to me.

oh, and i would totally still your cookies right out of your hands if i busted you. but since we're an ocean apart (that, and we probably wouldn't recognize each other if we ever did cross paths), i guess you can rest easy at night.

how funny are you! how about trying to give yourself $2 everyday you work out, then in one, two or three months use it for something fun. that is what i have been doing. having a material goal in front of me really helps out a bunch!..sad but true...hey how about you send all your cookies onto me, i haven't had one in forever! one good thing about not having kids is we dont keep that stuff in our house.

Stef,
You are too cute!!! I will tell you that along with everyone else. The battle of fat is ongoing. Something that may help is to try to not have junk food in the house. I try to minimize that as much as possible, but then we just wind up eating out. :-) Will power, where are you?
