after a breakfast of blueberry pancakes we headed to this place to build c a s t l e s:
then gwen spied something ...
something that motivated her enough to do a real crawl for the first time:
usually she looks a bit like a walrus when she's getting around, or an olympic swimmer doing a mean butterfly stroke sans water. but for the driftwood, she actually put one knee in front of the other.
a first.
then it floated far far away.
so we built more castles.
hi ho, hi ho,
off to home we go. to eat and sleep, stare at gwen's peeps,
hi ho, hi ho.

watching herself jump in the mirror - playing with a toy train
then off to the allred's for some fantabulous feasting, of which only a meager portion is pictured below:

happy thanksgiving!

looks like a great thanksgiving!!! you girls remind me that hawaii is one-of-a-kind, a lot of the time i take it for granted. but only in hawaii building castles in the sand on a warm thanksgiving day. maybe not ONLY in hawaii, but, you know, we may not have the cold weather and changing leaves, but we got the beach! as always, lovely pictures. your girls are beautiful and i love that cool shot with gwen and add in separate rooms doing their thang. and congrats to gwen on mastering crawling fundamentals!
a great day!
great pics steph! really, they are lovely! glad you had a good turkey day!
Okay, so everytime my husband looks at your blog with me and sees that you have beach pictures, he gets really grumpy and mad that you are at the beach and we are not. Actually we are freezing and waiting for the first 10 inches of snow anyday now!!
You're pictures are so good! Gwen and Addi are getting so big. It's crazy how different they look from each other. Gwen's eyes look amazing!
I want your camera, adorable kids like yours and your photography skills for Christmas!
