then we had a little craft-o-rama time. well, we at least made "hand turkeys" and taped feathers on. addi's our rock-star color girl. she's so good at staying in lines and choosing her colors (coordinating, sassy-style colors). she LOVES drawing, painting, etc ... especially if it's on her body. but paper works, too.
gwen was absolutely horror-struck when craft time ended. she kept tearing off the feathers to tape them back on, and pointing to her featherless turkey saying "mo. MO. MOOOOOOO!!" (you know, saying "more". as in "more feathers") ... we buckled. craft time kept going and going and going until naps just H A D to happen.
then it was dinner time. just as we were carving the turkey one of our neighbors came over to say howdy...
it was just us 4 for our little thanksgiving dinner. it was nice to spend the day with family. i can honestly say these three people are my happiness and i love and adore them. they are what i am most thankful for.
after dinner we headed back to the cricket field. cause you see, during the morning flight, a gust of wind threw the plane into a tree in a somewhat jungly section of the field. so obviously, not part of the field, but actually the adjacent jungle. it looked something like this...
but on the way the sky was doing the most amazing, breathtakingly beautiful things!! (these pics are just with an iphone, so you can imagine. GORGEOUS!!)
we got the plane. the landing gear had broken, but the bulk of it survived pretty well.
we played around a while longer then headed home for night night time.
(yah right... like they'd ever actually sleep like this!! they're totally into the separate rooms ... separate beds.)
i've just gotta say again i'm thankful for our little family. i love that we got to spend the day together and really soak each other in. the girls were floating having dad all day without any other obligations. and so was i...
it was the perfect day.

happy thanksgiving
looks like fun!!!
Haha! That pic of Gwen crying on the floor with the crafts is classic.
Those were nice pictures of a nice day. Your comment that the girls were floating having Casey home all day and you were too makes me wonder how many wives truly love having their husbands home with them. I know I LOVE having my husband home, as do my kids. I wonder how many husbands truly love being home with their families. I hope a lot of them do. I hope someday my husband loves to be home with us as much as we love him home with us. Sorry to get all deep on your blog comments, it just got me thinkin'...
