addi for short...
until recently.
addi told me few weeks ago that her name isn't addi anymore.
"don't call me that. it's not my name!"
"what's your name, then?"
"adeline!"
"well what do i call you for short? what's your nickname?"
"ummm... i dunno."
so i started listing random things... sunshine, seatbelt, water bottle.
she laughed, i listed.
then i started trying to make up real nicknames from "adeline".

deli
"DELI!!"
deli.
rhymes with jelly.
or like a DELIcious little humans.
a moment of processing silence.

"you want your nickname to be Deli??"
"YEP! I'm DELI now! adeline and deli! and my favorite color is teal right now."
and that was that.
it's hard to get away with calling her addi anymore without getting a sideways, stink-eye stare. so consider yourself warned.

For some reason I didn't realized Addy come from Adeline. I love that name. So in a few years if we happen to name a little girl Adeline you'll know where I got the idea from. Which is really kinda cool since you were the inspiration for Gwenevere being named Gwenevere. I don't know if you remember this. But we had a long list of names picked out but James and I didn't have a number one name. Anyway, Gwenevere was somewhere on the list that we posted on our blog. And you commented on Gwenevere saying you liked the name. That's when James really peaked an interest in the name. he did some research and just fell in love with the name. So to make a long story short you where our inspiration.

she is the cutest. honestly. i am so jealous. i dream of brown headed babies while i'm pregnant but if my girl has locks like your girls, i might be alright.
