KERRI!!!

Okay, the hangy wall desk steals my heart, but the shelf space desk would be more suited with all that space to use. Can you combine them? I think you can and I think that would be the perfect desk. Cute shelf up high to put stuff on and a cubby underneath for useful stuff AND you get a way cool looking desk that will wow any one. Question: was the white on the hangy desk white board because that would be amazing. IF you took down the white board and made a tall hangy desk.. do you see where I'm going with this... it could be magical!

the plan is to build a hangy-wall desk mixed with the shelf-space desk... shelving above shelving below! YAY!!! i'll draw up some sketches and keep y'all updated on the progress.

build

our house is desk less.

i don't really know how i've made it this long without one. in fact, did you know that there is a medical condition from people who use their laptop on their laps. yep. true story. burns. scars. tissue, nerve deadness something-er-other.

and guess what... i have a laptop.

and right now, at this very moment while i'm typing to you, it sits atop my lap.

"isn't that where a laptop belongs?" you might think, "atop a lap?"

no.
it belongs on a desk.

next to cute stationary and overpriced organizy desk things that are magnetic and useful, and keep your #2 lead pencils separate from what ever other lead numbers there might be. (isn't it always the trusty #2 that you reach for though??) and then there are little filing boxes filled with IN mail and OUT mail, and a message cork board, and varieties of printer and cardstocky paper to choose from, all organized in adorable little patterned ikea boxes...

oh, the glory and magnificence that is a desk!

so casey is building us one. (right Honey-Do? *wink wink*)

and these are the options, so far...

the hangy wall desk
Hollow form cantilevered desk
via (it's #7)

tell me you didn't just wipe a little drool off your chin from this lovely, utilizable piece of art.

next, the
hollow modern desk
desk

handy dandy use of space, eh!

then the
SHELF SPACE DESK

simple. get's the job done. nice and minimalistic...

and last,
the apple desk.

my drawers would be some shade of teal, sea-foam-green, light aqua, etc.
think "ocean".

now before you go making any decisions on which desk is ohsoperfect for my little ol' self to be tip-tap-typing away at dayafterdayafterday, let me show you the space it will call home.

okay okay okay...
so i'm totally outing myself with this foto. we do in fact have a desk. it is, in fact, the desk i grew up with. (oh how cute! i know...) BUT the part of the desk where you would place your books, papers, elbows, and
LAPTOP
isn't actually screwed into anything.

easily fixable, yes. but you know what i need people... a real desk.
a space for organized crafting, working, bill paying, phone calling, blog typing, foto editing space.

and the real desk is gonna go in that little space right there where the real-yet-not-exactly-completely-fulfilling desk sits. or sat. it hasn't been there for months.... yada yada. are you pickin' up what i'm puttin' down?? it's a small space. this has gotta been one efficient desk.

(aside: that totally just made me think of charlotte's web... anyone? anyone? "that's one fine pig!" you know... nope? just me?

moving on...)

now here's where you come in...

which one, which one???

i love them all. each and every one.
for different reasons.
and i need outsourced input.

so cast your vote!

and casey will build.

ps. the person who most sways my opinion gets a prize!
true story.
and yes... this is completely subjective.
