The senator then gave the car to an auction where it was purchased by some random guy in my "Mormonism and World Religions" class, who sold vehicles under the business name of DaKine Automotive (fitting, eh). We purchased the car in Spring 2006. We were originally intending on returning to the Mainland that Dec. and wanted to take the car with us, restore it, and keep it as our "Hawaii" car (Casey's a car guy. Some people buy surfboards - we bought a cheap car, which had just reached it's "antique" age, might I add.) I drove it to class when I was uber pregnant (with Addi), then Casey drove it to work and back when we bought the Element (after Addi was born).

As luck would have it, some friends needed a car, and we needed our driveway space. So we gave them the car for the price of repairs. They repaired and repaired and repaired. All the while, unbeknownst to us or them the vehicle was being cited with parking tickets, non-renewed registration tickets, BYU-H security notices, etc. etc. We started getting letters in the mail about monies owed and court dates missed. Huh? Of course, the car still isn't fulfilling it's full potential ... it starts but doesn't go ... so yesterday we towed it back to our driveway. Sad friends. Sad us. Wasted moola. Wasted time.

Anybody want a car for the cost of repairs?

hmmm... what kind of repairs are needed?
What a mess. It seems like everyone has car problems in Hawaii. We had our share. Its stressful! PS. You are doing hard-core workouts and gaining muscle. Not me. I'm probably losing any muscle I have. So take that!
Hahahahaha! I've always wondered who owned that car! I've seen it everywhere from in front of your house, now that I think of it, to ten different places in TVA. Hahaha! It makes me laugh!
i seriously hate byuh security.
