Yesterday we finally got the results back from
Casey's test. They aren't told their percentage, just a pass/fail.
And he passed. So the girls and I went and stole him away from work and took him to
Bishop Museum to celebrate. Why Bishop Museum? ... Why not?
Are you ready for TONS of pictures ....jpg)
There were 4 of these masked figures and one dissimilar looking figure.
note: these are life size. They are costumes worn on [insert name of Polynesian island that i forgot] during a ritual-dance ceremony. The four similar costumes represent four sons and the dissimilar outfit (not pictured) represent the mother. The "sons" are performing a "serious dance" and the "mother" is mocking them. I didn't really get to read the placard very thoroughly, if you can't tell, but it all seemed enthralling to me.

yes, she's licking the glass. cheerios? boiled eggs? i don't know what she thought was in there.

Gwen was moderately entertained by the day's events.
would ya look at that bling bling
.jpg)
this is a wind wall. each little silver circle is free to dance and twist as it pleases in the breeze supplied by industrial fans in the corner of the room. BELOW is Addi and Daddy in the "origins of Hawaii" cave. she kept saying, "star, star, star," and pointing as fast as her little index finger would let her. then she got scared, i think of the dark, maybe of the Hawaiian chanting ... ?

the following three pictures are a sequence of events (though admittedly this particular picture of button-pushing didn't cause the mock eruption - you still get the point)

yes, those are tears. it scared her
a lot ... so much, in fact, that she no longer wanted to go inside
any of the buildings. so our museuming had pretty much come to an end.

we tried stopping by the whale exhibit, which had animotronic whales of all sorts, but to no avail. poor Addi kept saying, "outside! outside!" nonetheless, i snapped a pic of this wonderful display of various whale tails. HUGE eh! (i put the stroller in for perspective) you wouldn't want to run into one of those in a dark alley.
i'm so proud of Gwen. her fecal production has dramatically increased. just a month ago she was good to give me 1 diaper every 10 days. yesterday: 2 blowouts, which resulted in the above pictured outfit: Dad's shirt.
in a nutshell, yeah for Casey!
