so today for lunch ladies (a group of us 'house bound' mommas who give ourselves fake names like Beatrice and Gertrude and go out to eat once a month) we ate at the thai truck. DE-LISH! i loved it. i got pad thai. that's what everyone else was getting, and i was a bit wary about venturing out too far. i figure i could probably hack anything, but could gwen hack it when it came milk time?? that's always the question.
it rained. a complete downpour which lasted less than 60 seconds but was enough to turn strollers into portable swimming pools and dust bowls into mud puddles. oh just imagine the fun a toddler can have in said situation. 2 hours later, muddy addi, wet gwen and i headed back home ... well fed, energy expended, ready to rest. (hence the multiple blog posts - the little women are in fact sleeping.)
so next time you're cruisin' around north shore craving some thai, you needn't go so far as haleiwa, but just right here in your own Kahuku back yard.

Is that where the Thai truck that used to be in Hauula go? to Kahuku? Is it really pricey or should I go check it out one day on my lunch break at work? It is kinda across the street but I never even knew that was there...huh. you learn something new everyday!
I am so sad that I have missed lunch ladies! Tell Echo I want a name even though I am not there!
jealousy.
I love Thai food. Some time you will have to wander on over to Haleiwa Eats and try their coconut rice. It's delicious.
