today and yesterday

today gwen is 9 months old.

today 4 years ago i returned home from my mission.

case has been sick a lot lately. it's random, usually on the weekends, luckily. he gets a fever with crazy sweats and chills, stomach ache, headache, puking and all that jazz. we thought it might be chinese restaurant syndrome (aka MSG-related sickness. as a side note, did you know top ramen noodles have MSG??), but MSG doesn't cause nausea, vomiting, etc. anyways, he basically slept saturday and sunday, so i tried to keep the girls busy and out of the house.

so after church yesterday we drove to ka'a'awa and played and picnicked at the beach park. (how in the world do you spell "picnicked"??)

first the fun

it was a touch windy.

then the food
note the grape juice running freely down her adorable little chin.

the trade

i love these womens.

Wow. I can't believe Gwen is so big. It seems like yesterday she was in your tummy. I need to find a way to stop time. Any suggestions?

Hi Stefani! It's nice to make a new friend without leaving the comfort of my sweats! You are welcome on our blog anytime, day or night.....but only after the fish are properly fed.

And I have three additional things to say:

1-You take BEAUTIFUL photos! Wow.
2-You have a BEAUTIFUL family. Your girls are adorable, especially in your beautiful photos.
3-A=And finally, about the Quiet book....I just made it up. I'm sure you could find a pattern somewhere... but I just had pieces of felt, some felt numbers that I bought on a huge sale, and a box of buttons. I sewed on a few buttons, stitched a few pieces of felt on, and there it is: nothing fancy at all. I really don't consider myself all that crafty, (which is why I didn't take any closeups of the book) but maybe more like MacGyver in finding unusual ways to be resourceful and save the world, one quiet book at a time.

PS. do you mind if we post a link to your blog on ours so we can stay friends forever?

Ah, you commented on my sister's blog about being an only. Thanks for your kind words. I, too, am worried but don't live near and can only offer comfort over the phone but other than her blog post, Kalisa doesn't want to talk.
Your children are beautiful.

You're pictures are quite good chica! I love browsing through pretty pictures and appreciate the spartan but humourous commentaries. I had kind of forgotten that you were so hilarious. And P.S. . . . that first pickup line you posted was all your own genious. I was the violent one threatening to use my metacarpals and phalanges on someones cranium. ;)
