my monkeys and the monkeys.
caught this UBER amazing gecko ...
then let it go.
had a family valentine's day.
and found this AMAZING smokehouse,
texas style BBQ place in kaneohe.
read: HEAVEN!!

ok, so addi may or may not have adjusted the temperature on the smoker by 100 degrees causing the guy in above picture to completely freak out (reasonably so - that's a lot of cow in there) and turned the entire smoker off by pushing this big red button that screamed "DON'T PUSH ME unless you MEAN IT" and opening the doors of the smoker to cool it down (which may or may not have led to above picture). i made amends by explaining that i too am a fellow texan.
it was all ok after that and he put
extra honey-butter on our cornbread.

addi's been just a touch
c r a z y.
remember when i mentioned her bursted capillaries?? well, we looked online to see what we could do for her poor little face and neck. all we found was once lousy mention of peanut butter, so we figure, why not? we smeared it on her face, she licked it off and laughed so hard that her eyes were watering. her face was greasy for DAYS! (ok, not really) and no, it didn't help the capillaries.

and gwen's ready to trade her crackers in for a cell phone.

i like them ...
a lot.
the sisters.

oh, and lots of time at the playground with more awesome people ...

brylie was playing house with me. she was the mom and i was ... i was the maid i guess. and sometimes the chef. she brought me a glass of "strawberry lemonade" and had to keep going to the "store" for more "ingredients".

we harvested our carrots and broccoli and onions and spinach and ate them with steak and potatoes. pretty sweet! our carrots were itty bitty. you could see a definite line on them from when the floods came and their growth stopped then started back up. and the garlic was WAY potent, in a good way. and the spinach ... HUGE!

case fixed our sink because it leaked gross water. i'm glad he can do stuff like that. he repairs our cars, he fixes my piano, builds gardens, bookshelves, fishtank lids, etc. etc. etc. i'm sure it's saved us oodles of moola and time and stress.

now i need to go do what gwen's doing because i am sick-o with bronchitis. AWESOME!

Little fact I learned this week: America got the word KETCHUP from the country Indonesia. They came up with it first and we liked it and took it. HA

Phew, you're a busy lady! Looks like lots of fun. I think I already said this but your garden looks AMAZING. I guess I didn't think you meant ACTUAL bursted capillaries on a 2yo. Ice will help them calm down, but it's not near as much fun as the peanut butter. You can try putting an ice cube in a baggie (for holding on to), get the outside wet and kinda slide around the affected areas. Maybe some refrigerated aloe vera. You get the idea, I don't know if that helps though. Right now I think the only way to get RID of them is with a laser :/

PS: all your beach pictures make me so sad, i miss the ocean, our house is oly 20 min away but not even close to hawaii ocean. we want to bring our baby to hawaii sometime soon so she can experience pretty water.

I'm sorry you're so sick! Doesn't your body know it's hard enough to care for two kids without being sick? I loved all those pictures on your post whether you stole them or not. We wish we were having fun with you guys!
