well, seeing as how i've been on a blogging hiatus (will you have me back??) it's time to show you folks how awesome that weekend was.
and, you know, there were a lot of pictures... by a lot, i mean... oh, hundreds. i'll spare you and try to keep it in the dozens.
SATURDAY
TOWN.
i think it was cheesecake factory and the aquarium.
yes, yes it was. the pictures tell me so.
and as we were walking the mile walk to the aquarium
(parking in waikiki is a joke)
there was also a lady walking her dog.
gwen. loves. dogs.
and all other furry things.
this is her admiring the little puppy...
she seriously squoze it (yes, that's a word) and walking it and giggled, and talked to it for an entire block or 5.
and addi walked faster than my boot could carry me...
this poor chica was hanging out all on her lonesome by a water valve.
someday her prince will come.
the aquarium rocked, as always.
the fish were big and colorful and the corals were,
well ...
big and colorful, too.
then this little beauty graced us on the way home...
SUNDAY
the day of love.
i walked to church nice and early.
(all iphone pics.)
and we had a stellar valentine's exchange of flowers, chocolates, toys, etc. etc.
but it is nestled in the corners of our minds.
meaning i somehow didn't take any pictures but this one...
addi, trying out her new make-up.
and these little valentines the girls made for daddy.
i asked them what they loved about dad and then wrote down what they said
in their words
and put the little slips of paper inside these hearts.
a few days before valentine's we had an awesome party with our friends.
i made the girls little heart head-bands.
and we made these little valentines for friends.
they all said something different.
the party rocked!! (thanks rach!) we played tons of games, and made crafts, and ate food.
(tape woman... pwahHAAha i'm laughing just remembering it.)
MONDAY
WOW to the sunrise that started this day.
so i had to wake up case
and we had to go on a sunrise walk
which ended up at the beach
where the girls had to swim
naked
perfect perfect morning.
topped off with a McDs breakfast.
'cause who wants to cook after a sunrise beach walk??
and then more playing...
and more beaching...
i just want to press rewind and repeat on this weekend

of course so many great pictures... but the last one needs framing. so sweet. and i'll provide the tape anytime you guys need. it's a skill i can excel in.
i love your pics. and of course we welcome you back with open arms cause we missed you dearly! what a fun weekend, I hate when those kinds of weekends are over. and gwens outfit to the aquarium, I wish they made it in my size!

What a fun life you have! I promise one of these days we are going to make it to Hawaii and come visit you. I bet a lot of people say that. Are you going to live there forever? Cuz I had a friend in college that was from Hawaii and everyone thought is was so cool. Your girls will be so cool when they go to school and tell everyone they are from Hawaii. Well, I mean they would be cool either way, but you know..
Ummm all your pictures rock, so do the heart headbands you made for the girls, the blog you posted where you learned it from & everything really. This was a good post. I want to see your photography blog. Come on...show me.

So did you get a new lens or something? Your picture clarity is UH-MAZING. I mean not to say they aren't always that clear and crips but these just seem more so. LoVe the last picture. Can we say priceless? Loved ALL the pictures. Glad you are back to blogging. :)
