well, let's consider this idea resurrected.
meatballs in savory sauce
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
1 small onion diced
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. raw rice, rinsed
2 eggs
1 1/2 C. dry bread crumbs
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
2 cans tomato soup
2 cans water
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
mix hamburger, diced onion, garlic powder, rice, eggs, bread crumbs, salt, chili powder and 1/2 can tomato soup together and form in to small balls and place in 9" x 13" cake pan. mix remaining soup, water, chili powder, and sugar, pour over meatballs, cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
you can betcha this is what's going in our tummies tonight, along with some mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, and oatmeal apple crisp.
is it 6 o'clock yet?
and ps. happy cinco de mayo!
